A major win for animal lovers across Falls Church and Northern Virginia—the Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation has been awarded a remarkable $100,000 grant through Petco Love’s Love Stories campaign, thanks to a heartfelt submission from a resident of Alexandria. 🐾

The recognition stems from a powerful “love letter” written by Anna Ridge, who shared the story of adopting Yuki, a two-year-old rescue dog whose presence brought unexpected joy, companionship, and transformation to her family. It’s a story that beautifully captures the life-changing impact of pet adoption in Falls Church, Alexandria, and the greater Northern Virginia region.

For many residents across Falls Church, Arlington, Alexandria, and surrounding Northern Virginia communities, pets are more than companions—they’re family.
