5 Northern Virginia Summer Festivals You Won't Want to Miss in 2026
Experience Northern Virginia Like a Local This Summer
One of my favorite ways to experience Northern Virginia is through its incredible summer festival season.
Beyond the beautiful neighborhoods, parks, and restaurants that make this region such a wonderful place to live, Northern Virginia also offers a vibrant calendar of community events that bring people together and celebrate the area's rich culture and diversity.
This past weekend, I spent time at the St. Katherine Greek Festival in Falls Church, one of my favorite local traditions. 🇬🇷
The festival featured everything that makes community events so special: live music, warm hospitality, incredible food, and neighbors enjoying a beautiful day together.
My personal highlights included lamb chops with rice, beans, and Greek salad, followed by baklava and several Greek pastries that were impossible to resist.

Why Festivals Matter
One of the reasons I love Northern Virginia is that there is always something happening.
These festivals do more than provide entertainment. They create opportunities for neighbors to connect, support local businesses, celebrate different cultures, and enjoy the communities we call home.
Whether you're a longtime resident or considering a move to Falls Church, Arlington, Alexandria, or elsewhere in Northern Virginia, these events offer a great way to experience the area's character and quality of life.
Live Like a Local
As a real estate advisor, I spend a lot of time helping people find the right home. But finding the right home is only part of the story.
The lifestyle, community connections, and local experiences surrounding that home matter just as much.
That's why I enjoy sharing some of the events, restaurants, neighborhoods, and hidden gems that make Northern Virginia such a special place to live.
I’m Ken Trotter, helping people live like locals throughout Falls Church, Arlington, Alexandria, Lake Barcroft, Fairfax County, and the greater Washington, DC region.
